YOUR CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Institutional Giving Manager is part of an eight-member Development and Communications team at a high-functioning nonprofit dedicated to maintaining the vibrancy, health, and prosperity of the San Francisco Mission District. The Manager oversees a diverse portfolio and high volume of grants, primarily from government, corporate, and select foundation sources, to fund MEDA programs and initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who would love to craft thoughtful and impactful narratives to secure financial support from aligned funders.
This role will lead prospect research, proposal development, grant writing, and grant proposal packaging for grant funding from government agencies (local, state, federal), foundations, and corporations. The Institutional Giving Manager works collaboratively with program staff to craft sophisticated grant strategies and develop proposals from concept to final submission. We welcome candidates who have extensive experience in a specific grant type and who are willing to learn and adapt their grant writing to other types of grants. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional writing and project management skills, the ability to learn quickly on the job, and strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
