Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for direct support and guidance in various functional areas of human resources. For the ideal candidate, a positive attitude, effective communication, follow-through, attention to detail are must-have attributes for this position. The HR Coordinator supports processes associated with the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding/exiting, benefits administration, training and development, performance management and HRIS systems to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the HR department.
The position requires a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists the HR manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Assists in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Ensures compliance with employment regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and Short-Term Disability.
- Supports the recruitment process as needed, e.g., post jobs, schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, etc.
- Maintains and tracks flex time for the organization, according to policy, and updates employees of expiring time.
- Manages 90-day and annual performance management processes, tracks, and processes completion, sends reminders to managers, ensures reviews are completed and filed in personnel files.
- Coordinates the recruiting schedule between the hiring manager and candidates, sends out calendar invites, conducts reference checks and coordinates with onboarding coordinator on new hire orientation.
- May assist with phone screening of candidates.
- Creates and maintains all employee files in the HRIS system and becomes the subject matter expert of the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Provides clerical support to the HR and Operations departments.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field required.
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources
- Prior related office experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer applications.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Compensation:
With 2 years of relevant experience, this position pays a minimum of $ 57,055.52 annually, per our compensation structure
This position is remote with a possibility of in-person hybrid starting October 31, 2022
