Position Summary**:** Responsible for creating policies and processes, while enforcing regulations at all levels. Guiding on all HR compliance matters. Also responsible for staying up to date on all regional general labor laws and providing adequate communication to managers and employees as we continue expanding.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans, leads, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiative, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Oversees the development and administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management
- Developing and overseeing new policies to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal practices
- Manage employee records and policies, implementing adequate processes and audits, in compliance with recent employment law updates
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Manage and update the agency employee handbook on an annual basis
- Managing employee engagement relationships & services
- Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
- Prepare reports for leadership, the board of directors, and external stakeholders as appropriate
- Provides leadership, coaching, and development for members of the HR team
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Regularly reviews the agency’s compensation structure to ensure it is fair, equitable and competitive to attract and retain employees by analyzing key data and trends
- Plans and communicates best practices for evaluating and compensating employees

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- HRCI or SHRM certified preferred
- Data-driven & analytical
- 8+ years of overall business experience including HR and operations management (minimum of 4 – 8 years HR experience required; non-profit experience preferred)
- Experience with BambooHR, ADP, or similar HRIS operations

What Youth Guidance offers:
