Job Summary: The company is looking to strengthen its HSE team with an experienced professional, who will help candi to lead the revolution of solar for C&I sector. candi is focused on making solar accessible to SMEs and the role requires experience and openness in dealing with various dynamics of rooftop installations. We are looking for someone with experience as an HSE professional dealing with the C&I solar sector operations in India. This job further offers interested individuals the opportunity to gain insight into and participate in the development and improvement of overall QHSE processes and monitoring tools.
Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following:
- Play a pivotal role in propagation of company policy and behavioral aspects of HSE all across various functions
- Plan and execute various HSE related trainings as per the company training matrix
- Monitor and drive the HSE performance as per the company KPIs
- Own, manage and report deliverables as per the company corporate and legal compliances related to HSE
- Carry out site safety audits during project construction and routine operations as per the prescribed frequencies
- Supervise contractor performance as per the company QHSE policy
- Review and implementation of emergency management plans for various sites as per the project dynamics
- Review of all administrative and engineering controls at projects during project construction and routine operations
- Participate in project design reviews and finalizations to conclude the required safety infrastructure to be installed
- Time to time review of sufficiency and healthiness of safety infrastructure installed at the sites
- Spearhead PPE compliances and timely review of sufficiency to the company and contractor staff
- Supporting the QHSE Lead in the further advancement and improvement of in-house HSE tools
Location: Pune, Occasional project-related travel may be required.
Hours: Full time
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in HSE in India, ideally with a focus on rooftop and ground mount solar plants
- Excellent understanding of processes and deliverables, ability to identify key risk issues and communicate on it in concise manner
- Familiarity with country’s legal requirements and applicable safety standards
- Certified and well versed with OHSAS 45001 procedures; NEBOSH / IOSH certification is an added advantage
- Basic knowledge on KYC and ESG risk, related to counterparty assessments and/or internally
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and openness to other data analysis programs
- Experience or know-how in data analysis is a significant advantage
- Excellent spoken and written English
