The Century Foundation (TCF), a progressive think tank focused on reducing inequality in the U.S., seeks a part-time Graduate Assistant for a six-month period to support our research on access, equity, and affordability in the health system.
Job Reporting and Details
The Graduate Assistant will report to and work closely with our Health Care Reform Team on projects related to major health reform ideas, building health equity into private health insurance reform, and related topics. A major part of this work is researching and conducting analyses for issue briefs on health policy proposals to improve affordability, accessibility, and health outcomes for all. The Graduate Assistant will help our Team advocate for evidence-based solutions through state and federal policy.
This is an ideal position for a current graduate student seeking to contribute to research that will advance public understanding of critical policy issues in higher education. We prioritize graduate students because we will build into the experience mentorship and support for paid work that also may count for course work.

Compensation
The Graduate Assistant will be compensated $33 per hour on a 10 hour workweek. This part-time contractual position will start in December 2024 and end May 2025. It does not include benefits.
This position does not have a location requirement. The Graduate Assistant may work out of our offices (in Washington, D.C. and New York, NY), fully remotely, or on a hybrid schedule.
Current graduate students with a concentration in health policy, including master’s and doctoral students, are encouraged to apply.
