The Alliance for Decision Education (the Alliance) is a national nonprofit and field builder with the mission of improving lives by empowering students with essential skills and dispositions for making better decisions. Founded in 2014 and backed by experts in decision sciences, business, and education—including several Nobel laureates—the Alliance believes that better decisions lead to better lives and a better society.

WHAT WE OFFER

The Alliance operates on a hybrid work schedule in which local employees are expected to work from the office (Bala Cynwyd, PA) every Tuesday and Thursday during standard work hours. Local employees generally have the flexibility to work remotely or from the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. All employees, both local and remote, receive equipment, supplies, and additional resources to help them do their best work.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Head of Philanthropy will set, guide, and execute the strategy for all fundraising efforts. The Head of Philanthropy will be responsible for ensuring the Alliance meets its fundraising goals by leveraging relationships with donors and prospects, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
The Head of Philanthropy will report to the Executive Director and lead the Development Department, which is responsible for securing financial support for the Alliance, its mission, and its activities. As a field builder, the Alliance's long-term goal is to build a robust network of providers, educators, state and local leaders, academics, and more, to propel the movement for Decision Education. The Development Department will play a critical role in making this vision a reality. The Head of Philanthropy will ensure that the Alliance for Decision Education is recognized as the central reference, disseminator, and conduit of funding within this diverse constituency.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
This position involves 30-50% travel, with most of that being local or regional travel.
We expect this individual to adhere to the Alliance’s hybrid work schedule, working both remotely and from our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
