The Role
At ChildFund Australia, we place huge importance on our people development, culture, and values. Reporting to the Deputy CEO, Operations, the Head of People and Culture will provide HR expertise and leadership to support our team through a period of transition and change. This will extend to the areas of leadership, Performance Management, Employee Wellbeing and Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, and HR Compliance.
Key duties of the role
- Drive organisational human resource activities including but not limited to workforce culture and values and strengthening diversity and inclusion.
- Identify and coordinate use of training and development platforms and programs relevant to organisational needs.
- Work with leaders to support the organisation and its people through transition and change.
- Drive a recruitment strategy that is designed to attract, retain, and develop the best talent available.
- Develop a sustainable and transparent remuneration strategy.
- Across our country offices, support the development of incountry HR competencies and business partnering capability to support the localisation agenda.
- Promote and role model appropriate behaviour to support ChildFund’s culture, performance, work environment and reputation.
- Foster a management culture that promotes and strengthens workplace health and safety, with implementation of supporting policies and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ year’s experience in human resource management roles;
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline;
- Experience leading change management and organisational development projects;
- Strong knowledge and understanding of strategic human resources management and human resource best practice;
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Professional member of Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)
- Experience working in cross-cultural context
