The Head of Government Affairs & Policy owns global leadership of government affairs and trade associations work within INNIO’s Jenbacher business and is responsible for developing,implementing and overseeing the government affairs strategy for the INNIO Jenbacher brand. The role leads government affairs globally and directly drives it with a particular focus on EU and Germany government and political affairs. This includes collaboration with government officials, regulatory bodies, and associations, to monitor relevant legislation, advocate for the organization's interests, and drive the role of CHP in the energy transition. The role cooperates with all involved functions (Regions, PLM, Communications) to drive one government affairs strategy, that is executed by all functions.

Your Responsibilities:
- Owns government affairs strategy and cross functional implementation
- Develop advocacy strategies on regulatory policies and lead engagement with trade associations, policymakers, regulators and other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- Monitor relevant regulatory, policy and political developments in EU and Germany, and advise senior executives on implications
- Assess and shape policy developments representing the organization’s interests, including the relevance of CHP vis-à-vis the political ecosystem
- Actively manage association memberships and participate in association forums
- Develop position papers and other relevant materials on policies and regulation by working cross functional ensuring consistent interpretation and execution along the business objectives
- Position INNIO as a thought leader and trusted sparring partner on energy transition and hydrogen roadmap discussions
- Work closely with the CEO and other management board members to position INNIO as a driver of the energy transition
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including with policymakers, regulators and trade & industry bodies
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience in a senior-level government affairs or communications role, preferably in a corporate or governmental/policy environment
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Substantial experience in navigating public policy and government relations
- Demonstrated success in managing complex public affairs campaigns
- Leadership skills, track record of successful managing/coordinating diverse, multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Good knowledge of the power generation market, technology and its supporting regulations for applications of cogeneration, district heating or biogas
- Profound knowledge of EU and German energy and climate policy
- Proven experience of working within EU institutions
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills same as team player mentality and can-do attitude
- Experienced in project management and leading cross-functional teams
- Ability to interact smoothly at all levels of the organization
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel
The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.149,90 gross per month (x 14) and an overpayment depending on your qualifications and experience.
