Overview
Counterpart International (CPI) is currently seeking for a Graphic Designer and Video Producer Intern (GDVPI) to support with producing multimedia materials implemented by the Rights and Dignity Project, an 8-year initiative in El Salvador supported by the United States Agency for the International Development (USAID) and implemented by Counterpart International, Partners El Salvador, and ConTextos. This position will report to the Communications Specialist, and is expected to work closely with the Communications Officer, the Communications Assistant and the Designer and Audiovisual Consultant. This is a 6 month, locally based internship; Salvadoran citizens are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Communications Specialist, the incumbent is expected to contribute to:
- Produce multimedia materials in tune with the project branding. (Infographics, invitation cards, brochures, videos, social media campaigns’ materials, etc.)
- Create content by using illustration, photo/video editing and layout software.
- Support with multimedia coverage of events or activities. (Photography, video, interviews, etc)
- Support with the implementation and logistics in events to assure the optimal development of the activities.
- Work closely and provide support to the Communications Team and the different areas of the Project.
- Participate in meetings.
- Other activities as assigned by the team.
Qualifications
- Recently graduated (preferred) or Senior university student in Graphic design/Multimedia or related fields.
- Knowledge in editing video and design tools/software (required)
- A design portfolio (required)
- To own its own computer with design and video software: Adobe Package (preferably)
- Experience with using professional camera DSLR
- Knowledge on English language (preferred but not required)
- Designing and producing experience for online and/or print publications.
- Multimedia and social media skills.
- Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work within a multi-cultural and diverse team.
