As a key member of the Integrated Marketing team, the Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in managing both corporate and client visual identities. This role is responsible for maintaining brand consistency across all design outputs and utilizing data and analytics to refine marketing strategies. As a representative of 3Degrees, the Graphic Designer is relied upon as an expert in crafting compelling visual narratives for both our brand and those of our clients.
This is a full-time, exempt role reporting directly to our Art Director. This position is open to candidates based within a commutable distance to our Portland, OR office; where you’ll enjoy a flexible hybrid working schedule. Travel may be required periodically for team training and collaboration.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Success in the following areas will include contributing to efficient processes, marketing results and delivering high-quality design solutions through positive client experiences. Here’s a closer look at the responsibilities:
Collaborate with marketing leads to develop creative solutions that drive marketing goals and business outcomes for both B2B and B2C audiences
Understand target audience needs and design trends to deliver data-driven design solutions
Develop, articulate and justify concepts to team members and clients
Ensure consistent and successful brand application by following and evolving brand guidelines
Prioritize and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and relationships, recommending the most effective resource allocation, which may include 3rd party providers
Design assets for a wide range of marketing deliverables including print collateral, social media graphics, brand templates, photography, emails and responsively-designed websites
Identify and make recommendations for streamlining creative processes
Create compelling presentations for new business pitches and existing clients
Incorporate feedback from internal team members and clients to ensure work is in line with overall creative briefs
Maintain a high attention to detail and deliver error-free work on a consistent basis
Craft accurate project estimates, deliver solutions within budgets, and support resource planning
Gather production estimates from vendors and prepare files for production
Stay current on industry trends and proactively build your digital design skills
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a design champ who’s ready to jump in and help us expand by delivering high impact design across digital and print channels. We typically find candidates achieve success in this role when they bring the following:
3+ years of design experience in an in-house creative department, design firm, or equivalent freelance setting, with a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Intermediate to advanced skills in video editing using After Effects and/or Premiere
Demonstrated experience in designing HTML email templates, CMS (WordPress), responsive design, and UX/UI best practices
Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and adaptability to handle short and long-term projects effectively
Excellent communication skills, maintaining a positive attitude while focusing on overarching objectives in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting with multiple deadlines
Experience in building templates in Microsoft Office and designing for marketing automation tools such as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) and Constant Contact
Beginner to intermediate skills in Figma and project management tools like Asana is preferred. Illustration skills are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, New Media, or related field preferred
HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS
Within 30 days,
Develop a solid understanding of 3Degrees’ mission, brand guidelines and ongoing projects
Establish effective communication channels with marketing leads and other team members
Start to incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders and clients into design work
Develop a strong understanding of the team’s organizational systems and tools including Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Asana
Actively participate in marketing team and client meetings, and increase industry knowledge through self-guided learning of in-house resources
Within 90 days,
Independently manage design projects from concept to completion, demonstrating strong project management skills
Consistently produce high-quality design solutions that meet marketing goals and client expectations
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline creative processes and implement improvements where feasible
Have acquired a solid understanding of 3Degrees products, services and business units.
Established key relationships and collaborated effectively across the marketing team and with other key stakeholders.
Within 6 months,
Emerge as a trusted expert for visual design, influencing design decisions within the organization and fostering trust with clients.
Demonstrate expertise in understanding target audience needs and design trends, consistently deliver data-driven design solutions
Ensure brand guidelines are consistently applied and refined as necessary, maintaining brand integrity across all projects
Successfully manage multiple projects with ease, meeting project deadlines, priorities and budgets
Consistently ready and willing to help problem-solve, and receive feedback and requests for revisions with a great attitude
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is $66,000 - $75,000 in the US. The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role may exceed the base pay as it includes other incentive pay

Supplemental Pay: this position is eligible for discretionary bonus programs based on personal, department and company goals.
