The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Graphic Design Specialist for our Analytics' Marketing Department. This position is responsible for providing world-class design support for our customer-facing collateral and internal (Xylem-facing) collateral. This role will help internal stakeholders conceive, design, and produce creative assets for print and digital communications and will report to the Creative Marketing Manager.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities**:**
- Provide a high degree of design capability and production for our ongoing Creative Service Request (CSR) Queue, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Develop high-quality graphics relevant to various marketing applications according to established branding guidelines. Examples include brochures, direct mail, tradeshow displays, apparel, photography, presentation materials, and other projects as directed.
- Support key projects, from concept, design, production, completion, and delivery—including high-profile initiatives, such as our magazine – Mission: Water.
- Balance multiple project deadlines from various departments and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and accepting feedback.
- Provide exemplary customer service when working with internal customers to provide marketing consultation/recommendations and when serving on company-wide committees.
- Interface with different teams or "segments" across Xylem and master the unique branding requirements and standards for each market segment. The position will work with these stakeholders to develop and execute design and marketing projects, ensuring brand and messaging consistency.
- Provide status updates and review priorities on projects such as (but not limited to): campaign execution, scientific illustration, social media, and web content asset development.
- Collaborate with the Creative Marketing Manager to establish art direction and branding requirements for the business and periodically refresh our Adobe Library with new updates.
- Remain current on creative, design, and technology trends in our industry and beyond—and make suggestions for improving our creative process.
Minimum Qualifications - Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities**:**
- Four-year degree in Marketing, Fine Arts, Design, or related field
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and other essential print and digital tools/techniques
- Minimum of 4 years of prior design experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing communications
Preferred Qualifications**:**
- Experience developing integrated campaigns across different marketing channels, including web, social media, email, and paid media, is strongly preferred
- Experience with Adobe Workfront is also a plus
- Strong speaking and writing skills are essential to success
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Fully remote position, (>90%) work-from-home with some required visits to Xylem offices
- Some travel required with marketing members for tradeshows, professional development,
and to generate marketing content at customer/field sites (<10%)
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling
- Ability to keyboard 75% percent of the time and to remain seated for extended periods
