The Job
As the Grants Writer, you will ensure that all proposals and other communication that Triggerise sends to existing and potential donors is well-written, coherent and compelling.
Responsibilities:
Capability statement, concept note, proposal, and pitch deck writing: Writing persuasive capability statements, concept notes, proposals, and pitch decks through collaboration with diverse stakeholders across Triggerise.
Proposal management: Manage the pipeline for the concept and proposal process from start to finish, ensuring that proposals are complete and that all necessary information required is submitted.
Funding opportunities: Through your network and contacts you identify further collaboration or funding opportunities for Triggerise.
Development: Actively participate in meetings and projects and coordinate with your team members Continue to develop yourself and keep abreast of new developments.
About You
You are creative and come up with new ideas to tell stories. You are someone who has the communicative ability to write compelling and engaging proposals. You are organized, have the ability to work proactively, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in English, Literature, Public Health, or Marketing & Communication would be beneficial
3 years in a grants write / fundraising focused role (mandatory)
Proven track record of excellence in grant writing with successful outcomes
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with teams in different locations and from multiple organisations
Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to write engaging copy
Able to convey complex concepts, ideas, and approaches to non-specialist audiences, drawing out the key information and impact of our work
The rewards
At Triggerise we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The monthly salary brackets for this position are R39.458 - R59.186 gross in South Africa, KSH214.411 - KSH321.616 gross in Kenya, and €1.063 - €1.595 gross in Ethiopia, plus benefits. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
