CLEAR Global is at a pivotal moment in its history and is looking for someone who is proactive, hands-on, enthusiastic, and ambitious. As the Grants and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for redesigning CLEAR Global’s grant management system and bringing systematic compliance processes into the program cycle; and owning the whole process. You’ll have a sound ability to identify an issue and find unbureaucratic, streamlined ways to address it. You believe technology can work to really help people in need and you thrive in dynamic, innovative, fast-moving environments. You will support writing and submitting funding applications, build relationships with funders, and work closely with funders and CLEAR Global’s leadership.
Responsibilities
This position reports to the Strategic Partnerships Director and works closely with the Head of International Programs, Country Directors, and Project Managers across the organization. The Grants Management and Compliance Officer is primarily responsible for compliance and management of restricted grants and contracts awarded to CLEAR Global.
The roles and responsibilities of the Grants Management and Compliance Officer are organized around the three major pillars listed below.
Donor Compliance
You are responsible for guaranteeing CLEAR Global compliance with donor rules and regulations including through increasing internal understanding of donors and grant regulations in your portfolio and supporting donor compliance.

You are responsible for monitoring grants in your portfolio. This implies being the bridge between donors and implementing field offices to maintain a healthy relationship and highlight the quality of the results achieved by CLEAR Global projects teams

Qualifications
CLEAR Global seeks a considered, detailed-oriented and team-player candidate with exceptional communication skills and demonstrated prior knowledge and experience implementing and/or managing donor funded projects such as the European Union, European Commission Humanitarian Organization (ECHO), the UK Department for International Development (DfID), GIZ, US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Bureau of Populations, Refugees and Migration Office (PRM), and/or the Bureau for Humanitarian Affairs (BHA). You will need to have demonstrable expertise in delivering a growth funding strategy and a thorough knowledge of the international development sector and fundraising within this context.
Bachelor’s Degree in international development/policy/relations, or a related technical field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or 5+ years of professional experience in management of institutional grant management.
Strong working knowledge of international development funding mechanisms, rules and regulations

Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail

Good interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills, in English
Training and internal knowledge building skills
Understanding of the humanitarian and international development context preferred
Familiarity with fundraising strategies.

Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and data management.
Demonstrated interest in language, and commitment to CLEAR Global’s values.

International experience.
Experience with developing grant management systems
Knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, Bangla, Hausa, or Swahili
Successful leadership on developing large grant applications
Experience using CRM and communications tools, such as Hubspot, Salesforce, WordPress, MailChimp, design programs, and cloud software.
