Responsibilities
The Global Website Manager is responsible for integrating and publishing all content on the Holcim Group website (www.holcim.com), and supporting our local market teams around the world to do the same on their own sites.
The role has three main functions:
- Managing the daily run of Holcim.com
- Optimizing Holcim.com’s performance and user experience
- Supporting our local communications teams in managing their sites
Short description of the role
- Integrate and publish new content regularly: media releases, financial results, reports, web articles; liaise with other members of the Group Communications team to source content (copy, images, videos)
- Update web pages as needed, liaising with teams across the company (investor relations, finance, sustainability, HR, etc.) to source content and information, ensuring accuracy across all website content
- Work with our web developers in IT to propose, oversee and test back-end updates to the Holcim.com CMS
- Stay informed of and implement best practices for SEO and UX and build new web pages with engaging design and optimized UX, supporting the Digital Marketing team in integrating digital lead generation tools
- Ensure local websites reflect the Group brand and messaging, periodically auditing them and providing feedback
- Guide local teams on how to implement global communications and marketing campaigns on their websites
- Act as a go-to resource for local teams and answer their questions about website management, both technical (using the CMS) and content-related (sourcing assets, etc.)
- Work with IT to ensure all markets adopt the Drupal 9 platform for their websites and help manage the transition process
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing or other relevant fields
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in digital communications
- Demonstrated experience using CMS, ideally Drupal
- Demonstrated experience working with internal and external stakeholders in a complex, large, global organization
Knowledge & Skills
- Serious attention to detail, especially when managing content related to company financials
- Knowledge of best practices in UX and SEO and understanding of XHTML, CSS
- Rich media editing and/or design (e.g. Photoshop) skills
- Knowledge of analytics platforms including Google Analytics
- Understanding of AB testing and heat maps
- Interest in sustainability and environmental issues
Language Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English – other language(s) an advantage.
