Global Sales Director

Location: Choice of 100% remote, 100% from our offices in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, or any hybrid.

Type of role: Full time, permanent.

Start date: ASAP

Reports to: CEO

Total compensation: R950,000 - R1,450,000 per year, subject to experience.

The role:

As Sales Director - Global, you won't be managing an ordinary sales team. You'll be at the helm of a group of Sales professionals who are as enthusiastic about doing good as they are about exceeding commercial targets. Your mission will be to optimise the performance of this team by developing their sales technique, product knowledge, commercial skills, and by cultivating a high-performance culture.

There is a crystal-clear metric for success: Gross Profit generated.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the CEO to align individual and team sales goals with the wider organisation's objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to update our lead generation strategies and ensure the sales team is equipped to capitalise on leads.
  • Set clear, measurable performance expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales teams.
  • Contribute to sales activities and lead by example by supporting the team with your hands-on knowledge.
  • Conduct regular audits on our CRM data to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement for the team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s to monitor performance against delivery of targets and manage consistent over/under performance - effectively managing performance and recognising and rewarding high performance.
  • Deliver continuous individual coaching, which will include call listening and feedback to stretch and develop the team to achieve individual KPIs and personal growth.
  • Clearly communicate and embed any changes in process or policy effectively.

What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record in sales leadership, with a deep understanding of driving commercial success in a purpose-driven context.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to inspire, motivate and empower a highly skilled sales team.
  • Strategic thinking to align sales initiatives with our overarching mission and values.
  • Comfortable working with technology including Salesforce, G-Suite, Zoom, Trello, and similar.
