The People Development Team
The People Development team designs and implements programs and systems that increase engagement and elevate learning for all Mercy Corps team members globally. Within the People Development team, the Learning & Leadership team delivers leadership development programs and supports professional development opportunities and resources for all Mercy Corps team members globally.
The Position
The Global Leadership Program Manager will be an integral member of the Learning & Leadership team, focused on supporting the leadership development programs. They will have primary responsibility for implementation of the Next Generation Leadership Program, as well as overseeing the Women in Leadership program. They will provide targeted management and leadership coordination across our three leadership programs, including budgeting, program design, and engaging with leadership program alums.

Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders
Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. They will be able to work effectively and collaboratively, as a member of a highly visible team, whose performance is key to the enduring success of Mercy Corps, while being flexible, resilient, always possessing sound judgment, and maintaining a good sense of humor.
Living Conditions / Environmental Conditions
This position can be in any Mercy Corps Location, with a preference for Jordan, Kenya, or the UK. Should international travel be required, Mercy Corps team members represent the organization both during and outside of work hours when deployed in a field posting or on a visit/TDY to a field posting. Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect local laws, customs and Mercy Corps’ policies, procedures, and values at all times and in all in-country venues.
