Global Campaign Development Lead - Gender Based Violence and Harassment (GBVH) in the World of Work (Consultancy)

Location: Remote (Global)

Approximate Duration and Level of Effort: Full time to begin immediately through January 30, 2022

Summary

Solidarity Center’s Equality and Inclusion Department (EID) seeks a full-time consultant outside the United States who will provide technical support to develop the process, framing and implementation plan of a global campaign on GBVH. Specific duties will include providing continuous support to EID in the issue campaign working group (MPower initiative), the GBVH Campaign Committee, and the campaign taskforce to develop the GBVH campaign framework and its implementation plan as well as other communication tools and resources related to the development of the issue campaign. The consultancy will be developed in coordination with the EID, and will imply close coordination with SC staff and partners, as well as MPower allies, as indicated by EID.

Assignment(s)

Potential work may include some or all of the following tasks:

• Mapping of SC’s work on GBVH related issues, including but not limited to ratification efforts of Convention 190 (Document and presentation)
• Develop and implement a work plan with the GBVH Campaign Committee that leads to the refinement of the campaign framework and implementation plan (Document and coordination work with the Committee and the EID Department)
• Provide support to EID’s leadership in the issue campaign working group, the GBVH Campaign Committee, and the Campaign taskforce
• Design a GBVH Campaign framework (3 Documents and 3 presentations corresponding to the dates of the MPower retreats and the launching of the initiative)
• Design a final GBVH Campaign implementation plan (Document)
• Support activities of the MPower and issue campaign working group, including the official launching.
• Develop tools and other materials and resources related to the campaign and communications needs

Requirements

• Broad and extensive experience in designing and implementing campaigns including with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of GBVH, preferably in the world of work, and effective solutions for addressing it. Familiarity with ILO convention 190 is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build inclusive and diverse coalitions
• Work and experience in the field of social justice, gender justice, human rights and/or labor rights
• Experience in facilitating collaborative and participative work across regions and cultures.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Spanish and Arabic are highly desirable
