About the program:
Global Board Affairs is directly responsible for managing the activities of WRI’s distinguished Global Board of Directors and executing leading-edge organizational governance across WRI’s global network of Boards. The Board Affairs team is responsible for the planning and execution of Global Board and committee meetings and special events, the development, and maintenance of Board policies and the enactment of global governance initiatives. The Board Affairs team is also responsible for ensuring active Global Board engagement by identifying and leveraging opportunities for meaningful Board member participation in WRI's influence strategies, external communications, and fundraising efforts.
Global Board Affairs sits within the Executive Office and Development Department teams and works closely with the CEO, Executive Vice President for Governance & Development and General Counsel to deliver on the above-stated objectives.

Job Highlight:
In this role, you will have primary responsibility for planning quarterly Global Board meetings and regular Board committee meetings, with support from the Board Affairs Coordinator. In doing so, you will ensure the scheduling of meetings, oversee the production and distribution of complex meeting materials, and facilitate internal preparation for meetings and special events. You will also provide direct staff support to the Board’s standing committees and other ad-hoc committees, serving as staff lead for the Board Nominating Committee. You will be supported by the Head of Global Board Affairs and the Global Board Affairs Coordinator.
You will report to the Head of Global Board Affairs.

What you will need:
Education: You have completed a bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience: You have 7+ years of full-time relevant work experience.
Languages: Proficient in written and spoken English
Requirements: Existing work authorization is required where this position is based. WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization.
Potential Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
