One Tree Planted is looking to hire a Geospatial System Manager to help design, build and manage innovative geospatial solutions in service of restoring and protecting people, nature and our planet? One Tree Planted is seeking a highly motivated, full-time manager to join our team of cutting-edge, passionate conservation professionals working in a cross-departmental, fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment.

POSITION PURPOSE:
One Tree Planted geospatial architecture will be foundational to automate and streamline the work of the organization to support large scale growth, global impact assessment and monitoring and donor reporting. The Geospatial Systems Manager will setup, configure and manage the One Tree Planted Esri ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online (AGOL) architecture and cloud environment. This includes implementation of an ArcGIS-based strategy to support the organization’s efforts to create, incorporate, analyze, share and display data through a variety of pathways. Pathways include ArcGIS applications, the website, reports, dashboards, partner platforms, and others.
The responsibilities include creating and managing out of the box ArcGIS applications that aid in data creation and integration, visualization and reporting on projects and impacts. Frequent collaboration with other remote sensing, monitoring and geospatial data and solution providers and environmental partners will be a core part of this role. We want to move the field forward and can only do that together, in partnership.
Reporting Relationships
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Geospatial Architecture Design, Management and Integration: 50%
ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro and AGOL architecture setup, configuration, management and administration
Develop system requirements, including identifying the appropriate cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
Responsible for ArcGIS deployment, upgrades, administration, and application development (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro and AGOL)
Ongoing management and maintenance of the organization software and database licenses
Co-design, co-develop, and co-maintain enterprise SQL geodatabases, architectures and data services for use across different applications and products
Publish and manage feature layers, image services, and referenced or hosted feature layer views from ArcGIS Pro to AGOL and applications
Administer and manage users and groups in the AGOL environment
Anticipate problems and challenges, implement solutions in advance whenever possible and fix issues as they arise
Assist with the management of the organization's information technology issues and associated databases, platforms and dashboards
Oversee the protection and security of our computers, systems, platforms, data and compliance with appropriate laws and regulations
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on organizational requirements
Design and customize Geospatial applications, platforms and technological systems and platforms to improve customer and donor experience
Serve, in conjunction with IT staff and external contractors, as a cybersecurity resource and maintain ongoing security initiatives, authentication, and incident management
Development and Management of Geospatial Applications: 40%
Partner Capacity Building: 10%
Work with One Tree Planted teams (projects, urban forestry, impact assessment, monitoring, carbon, etc.) to customize technology solutions that scale to meet the needs of many partners around the world based on partner capacities, geographies, data and technology availability and more
Work with One Tree Planted technology partners to share and integrate data and best practices across platforms
Work with and manage contracts with technology consultants as identified and needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S OR MASTER DEGREE
A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
RELATED EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of relevant experience in a related role in a highly successful and functioning environment. The ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience with non-profit organizations and remote GIS environments is a plus.

IDEAL LOCATION: New Mexico, Colorado, California or Remote.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
COMPENSATION: Typical starting range is $90,000 - $110,000 CAD/ USD which will be based on skills, experience and location. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
