Greenpeace International is looking for a Functional Application Manager to maintain and improve the Collaboration Tool suite, support the adoption and increase of system and feature usage amongst end users, ensure solid integrations with other systems, and manage proper back end set-up.
As a Functional Application Manager within the Greenpeace International (GPI) Information Technology Unit, you will report to the Functional Application Management Team Leader. In your role you are responsible for the continuity of managing global applications offered and related business processes, change and release management, service catalogue and service levels in order to provide the Global Network with IT systems that have the right functionality, and which are performing as agreed. You will be working in the team that manages the Collaboration tool suite (Slack, Zoom, Asana, Google Workspace, Greennet, DocuSign).
In this role you will:
Maintain a comprehensive overview of all global applications offered and supported by Greenpeace International in order to help ensure consistency and continuity in the use of these systems. Specific focus will be on the Collaboration toolset
Handle incidents and functional change requests relating to global applications
Execute problem management: coordinate the problem solving processes, by external or internal suppliers, and guard their progress in order to guarantee sufficient and timely resolutions
Assess user needs, plan, monitor, test, and implement changes to our systems in order to ensure their evolution in a controlled manner
Manage and monitor Service level management (SLAs) in order to guarantee performance as agreed with Greenpeace NROs
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about incidents, service requests, changes and projects in order to facilitate decision-making, gather end user needs, and keep all parties informed
Provide end user support and training to support and increase adoption of the systems you are responsible for
Engage with end users through Communities of Practice to increase adoption of the toolset and improve usage of its different features
Support the Product Owner in reaching the vision of providing the best collaboration user experience possible
Coordinate production and user acceptance testing for new releases of the systems in order to guarantee quality and acceptance of these systems
Create documentation of (changes in) systems through development of manuals and training material in order to ensure all technical, architectural and end user documentation of the relevant systems is kept up to date
What we’re looking for:
Bachelors or masters level of thinking
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in application management
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Hands-on experience with business analysis, software testing, documentation and training
Experience in end user support and assisting users in solution finding
Experience with delivering training to end users
Proactive mindset
Knowledge of Zoom, Asana, Slack & Google Workspace is preferred
Experience working in an international and culturally diverse environment
Fluent in English, both verbal and written, and preferably one other foreign language
The team you’ll work in consists of 5 Functional Application Managers. The Collaboration Team is a cross functional team, working together in an agile fashion, led by the Product Owner Collaboration. The Collaboration Team supports the project CollabLab which aims to support teams throughout the GP Network to improve their collaboration practices. Each team member focuses on 3 main tools, and together they aim to provide the best collaboration tool set to the Greenpeace Network. The Functional Application Management team is part of the Tech Department, which has increasing Digital Maturity across the Greenpeace Network as a priority.
