Front End Web Developer

We are seeking an experienced Front End Web Developer to join our growing team in Indonesia.

Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining our WordPress based engagement platform for a global audience. Your responsibilities will focus on the front end but back-end development skills are an asset.  You will be working on creating and maintaining templates and customizations for our Learning Management, Gamification, Membership, and E-Commerce platforms to take full advantage of the capabilities of each system and ensure a seamless experience for our users across all devices.

You need to have good attention to detail and exceptional CSS and Javascript skills to ensure your work is high quality and optimized for performance. You will be supported by local team members and liaise with our international team for translations and other projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play an indispensable role in the Indonesia Digital team, in front-end web development, maintenance, and updates, working with PHP, MYSQL, & WordPress
• Carefully taking directions from Vancouver-based Head Office staff to deploy projects with accuracy and speed;
• Ensure that Plastic Bank’s digital presence provides visitors with a smooth, interactive and informative experience;
• Ensure all development is consistent with best practices for security, privacy, and performance;
• Stay up to date with technology and security issues affecting WordPress and our stack; and
• Manage content as required in conjunction with Web Master

Skills Required:

• Education and professional experience in web programming or web design;

• Professional WordPress experience (5+ years), with a combination of front and back end.

• Expertise in front-end technologies - HTML, CSS/SCSS/SAAS and JavaScript/JQuery (5+ years);

• Experience working with code versioning tools in multi-user teams  - (GIT/BitBucket)

• Experience working in an agile, test-driven, team environment using tools like Jira Software and Confluence.;
