Our Role

We are recruiting for a Consultant to join our FCAS team to work on projects across the whole portfolio.

As a Consultant, you will contribute to the successful delivery and management of projects, build  relationships with key client stakeholders and contribute to business development activities. You will share your learning through knowledge products and, where possible, external conferences and events, and be a part of maintaining our excellent reputation with our external teams and clients.

The core technical strengths of all our consultants are focused around four key areas:

Evidence Advocate:  generating robust evidence and using this to support clients and shape global debates:

• As an evidence advocate, you will use a range of data and analysis tools to produce and present evidence-based insights.

Change Agent:  supporting clients in reflecting, learning and managing change:

• As a change agent, you will constructively contribute to group discussions within different teams and support insights that will be shared with clients.

Project Manager: contributing to and building high performing project teams that deliver quality and commercial targets:

• As a project manager, you will support others in project management tasks at different stages of project delivery.

Trusted Advisor: building long term relationships with clients and partners that add value and deliver commercial success:

• As a trusted advisor, you will contribute to proposals, start to develop networks of external consultants and clients, and research client priorities.

What next

We are looking for a candidate with a background and interest in working on issues relating to FCAS contexts, including at least one of conflict prevention; peacebuilding; security and justice; stabilisation; serious and organised crime; women, peace and security; preventing violent extremism; migration and forced displacement; and humanitarian assistance. The candidate will also have some experience of working on MEL assignments, ideally in FCAS contexts. You may also have a post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline, but this isn’t essential.
