FINANCIAL SYSTEMS AND REPORTING MANAGER

Responsible for providing financial systems support related to the reporting and planning processes in GII, which includes support for accounting systems and assisting with the implementation and administration of new planning and reporting solutions for the organization, Sage Intacct, and Solver.
In addition, this position is responsible for producing and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual internal management financial reporting and budgeting.
SPECIFIC DUTIES[1]:
· Oversees the administration of current accounting systems, and new financial system including planning, reporting solutions, and ensuring the integrity of the data across all systems.
· Performs a variety of application and database maintenance tasks to support application operations, troubleshooting of performance, inspects and resolves system problems quickly and efficiently.
· Prepares key reports and validates output for accuracy and completeness prior to their distribution.
· Responsible for the integrity of general accounting master data and its proper control.
· Researches and resolves report data issues, working closely with technical team to implement changes.
· Gathers, reviews, and consolidates variance analysis explanations at the transactional level for review meetings with budget managers.
· Coordinates and manages projects/tasks including but not limited to financial reporting, analysis, gathering of financial and non-financial data from sub-ledger and other operational systems, and optimizing existing processes.
· Assists in the implementation of new reporting and planning solution for GII, by participating actively in defining the Systems Strategy, Configuration, Reporting, Training and Post Implementation Support.
· Assist with the system set up of planning scenarios, supporting the collection and data uploads of budget/forecast information for Revenue, Expenses, Capital, Depreciation, and Headcount.
· Assists the Director, FP&A in the preparation of supporting schedules and variance analysis for the monthly financial statements.
· Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration as it relates to budgeting and reporting

· Thorough understanding of (GAAP) budgeting principles and practices as the apply to nonprofit organizations.
· Strong technical knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, accounting database systems, along with excellent financial analysis techniques and ability to implement solutions.
· Proven leadership, organizational and management skills.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and meet multiple deadlines.
· Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential information.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Five to seven years of increasingly responsible financial, operational and systems experience.
Customer service experience; providing end user support by resolving technical problems.
Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools for data sourcing and integration or other experience using data gathering tools (building and accessing tables, SQL queries, access, excel - pivot tables, look-ups)
Experience with Process Design and Re-Engineering a plus.
Knowledge of ERP Systems and proficiency with MS Excel PowerPoint and Word.

SUPERVISION:
General – Latitude is given to determine approaches, procedures, and methodologies for accomplishing the work. Work is reviewed to ensure that it is conceptually sound and meets assignment objectives.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Sedentary, lifting 10 lbs. maximum. Walking or standing is required only occasionally. Requires long hours at a computer.
EMOTIONAL EFFORT:
Work environment usually hectic with periods of high stress. Will need a positive attitude to meet daily challenges.
