Mainstream Renewable Power is an independent global developer with a proven track record in delivering large-scale wind and solar plant. The company is focused on delivering a high-quality portfolio of more than 11 gigawatts of wind and solar assets across Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific. Globally, Mainstream has delivered more than 800 MW of wind and solar assets into commercial operation and is currently constructing a further 707 MW across Latin America and Africa.
We are currently searching for a Financial and Accounting Technician to work in the Group Reporting team.
What you will do?
Maintains profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and other accounting records;
Produces, collates and reports financial information for managers;
Liaises with clients to ensure that payments are made on time and credit limits are not exceeded;
Ensures invoices and payments are correct and sent out on time;
Monitors accounting systems to determine accounts are being maintained effectively and provides information on accounting practices to auditors.
Preparation of the consolidated month-end management accounts
General ledger and monthly reporting process
Preparation of relevant balance sheet reconciliations including bank and inter-company reconciliations
Prepare further analysis of specific accounts, as required
Assist with Luxembourg and intermediary holding companies' account preparation
Manage the audit process
Year-end audit process including dealing with auditor queries, preparing notes for the Group Annual Report
Completion of statutory accounts under FRS101 for corporate subsidiary entities including taking full ownership of the audit process, liaising with auditors to ensure audit issues are resolved and accounts are completed and filed on time
Support the annual budget process
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls
Develop and maintain manual of all finance processes
Drive efficiencies in the Group Reporting processes
Coach the finance intern
Support finance team projects
What we require?
Third level qualification in Business or Accounting
ACCA part qualified accountant
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
Renewable energy experience preferred
Excellent Excel skills
Excellent IFRS knowledge essential
Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills required.
