What WE make:
Our lead product, an onsite, containerized Green Ammonia production system that is modular and scalable, will revolutionize clean energy through a patent-pending, first-of-its-kind technology invented in Canada. The system takes air, water and a sustainable electricity source to produce green anhydrous ammonia with no carbon emissions. Adoption will dramatically support global targets to reduce CO2 emissions. And our decentralized, in situ approach will bring supply chain independence to our first customers – farmers – for the first time.

What YOU will do:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide day-to-day financial and accounting support, helping the finance team realize strategic and operational initiatives. You will be accountable for processing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as administrative accounting and payroll tasks. More specifically, you will process AP invoices and bill payments using online portals, as well as government filings and payments. Responsible for vendor management including setting up new vendor accounts, collection requests, and credit applications. You take pride in your organizational skills and will embrace the opportunity to streamline processes and ensure everything is working like a well-oiled machine. You will participate and help execute year-end and financial statement audits, assist with reporting, reconcile credit cards and general ledger accounts and support various investigations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with management to gather and analyze financial information, update cashflow as well as recommend solutions to reduce expenses, increase revenue, and maximize efficiencies. Other daily and weekly tasks as assigned.
Who YOU are:
You’ve seen our values, and they resonate with you. You are passionate about participating in creating solutions to climate change and have an understanding of the role our systems play in making a positive impact on the world’s fertilizer demands and food shortage issues.
You have a college diploma or a degree in accounting. A strategic thinker, with a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in General Accounting; as well as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all accounting functions. You are comfortable with internal controls and you understand the merit of having them in place for the betterment of financial control. Your previous experience has exposed you to year-end and financial statement audits, as well as payroll preparation. You thrive on smooth processes and when your documentation is complete. You think ahead about the information you will need in order to do your day to day work and to support the annual audit later in the year. You consider yourself an expert in QuickBooks and the application of Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel. You are action-oriented, attentive to detail who demonstrates the drive, organization, and interpersonal skills to gather and deliver reliable financial information. Since you will be the point of contact for some of the day-to-day financial and accounting tasks, you take initiative to ask questions and understand facts as you continue to learn and grow in this role. Continuous learning is key, so you will be supported and mentored by a seasoned Controller to ensure you develop in your role. Does this sound like you?
