The Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking candidates for an Finance Officer, to be based in its Jordan Office. NEF is a non-profit international development organization that has supported livelihoods recovery and community-based economic development in the Middle East, Africa, and Caucasus since 1915. NEF draws on local teams, experience, and partnerships in these regions to create community-led solutions to reduce poverty, create economic opportunity, and empower conflict and crisis-affected groups to improve their future outlook and wellbeing. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF has operations in ten countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, South Sudan, and Syria. HQ offices are based between Syracuse, NY, Washington, DC, London, UK, and Brussels, Be. Our programs are organized around three pillars: Inclusive Economic Development, Climate-resilient Development, and Stabilization and Peacebuilding.
Position Description
The Finance Officer is a member of Near East Foundation team in Jordan, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a finance and accounting position responsible for all day-to-day accounting entries and is also responsible to ensure that all accounting, procurement compliance, and other cost related activities are performed in accordance with NEF policies, donor and local regulations.

Scope of the position:
Staff: 1 Finance Director, 1 Senior Accountant, finance field offices staff, program staff in country and area offices.
Stakeholders: Banks, Finance and Programme Staff in Area Offices.
Budgets: No budget responsibility

The successful Finance Officer must be a self-directed individual with the following qualifications:
