Salary:                          Negotiable. Guidance: R1,200,000 - R1,600,000 per year.

About the role

GVI has operations in 20 locations in 13 countries on 5 continents, and customers in 110 countries. It’s safe to say that everything we do has a major international dimension to it.

This role owns all of the planning, reporting, treasury, cost management and statutory compliance for all of GVI’s global operations. Specific responsibilities:

• KPI reporting
• Financial reporting
• Cash planning and treasury management
• Capacity and utilisation models
• Cost models and planning
• Cost controls
• Financial controls
• Leases, assets and facilities.
• In-country entities (with support from the General Counsel)
• In-country regulatory and statutory compliance
• Commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners.

Key relationships are with the Operations team, Product and Strategy team, the Finance team, and the CEO.

About you

Of course you have solid technical foundations. And you will have progressed rapidly through a range of roles in the finance function, ideally in more than one industry.

But your real passion is for that place where finance meets business. This role is ideal for a finance professional wanting to prove their finance skills in a highly-complex global environment, but who is also ready to flex their operational capabilities (perhaps in order to show themselves ready to take on a CEO role in the future).

This role demands exceptional communication and collaboration skills. The global dimension demands creativity in problem-solving as well as the ability to reprioritise and reset in an agile way.
