Film/Video Production Manager

One Tree Planted is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on global reforestation. As an environmental charity, we are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!

The ideal start date for this position is January 2023

POSITION PURPOSE:

A versatile position at a nonprofit that wants to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to our  Director of Marketing/Communications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Organize all needs of pre-production, production, and post-production of video team
• Set  budgets for the needs of all aspects of each video production
  • freelance support
  • coordinating either onsite or offsite
  • securing equipment, etc.
• Solve problems as they arise
• Set schedule of meetings and shooting
• Prepare and submit all paperwork, contracts, invoicing, and schedules
• Ensure that all equipment is properly working and stored when not in use
• Assign daily tasks to other members of the video team as needed and ensure that deadlines are met
• Assist in administrative work
• Oversee video editing (project execution, completion, and hitting deadlines)
• Manage the business aspect of film production
• Maintain database of videos

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S DEGREE
• RELATED EXPERIENCE: 10  YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE PLUS RELATED FIELDS. BE A SELF STARTER AND TEAM PLAYER.
• SKILLS
  • Pre-production, production, post-production
  • Demonstrable experience running a team of producers and editors and handling the production of multiple concurrent projects with varying requirements and deliverables.
  • Movie Magic Budgeting or similar program
  • Versed in camera gear, data management and storage, Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects, Audition, Lighting/G&E, Premiere, and Sound
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), attention to detail, responsive, and takes ownership

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

COMPENSATION:  typical starting range is $80,000 - $85,000 CAD / USD which will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
