Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position is full time and is responsible for the assessment and management of work queues to maintain smooth workflow and creating and maintaining relations between All Hands and Hearts and local beneficiaries.
Reporting Relationships
Essential Functions
Manage the field work queue including the intake of new beneficiaries, scheduling of new work sites, and management of program data on All Hands and Hearts’ organizational database
Conduct, schedule and manage site assessments
Seek out, build and maintain relationships with local NGOs, IDP Camp management and possible beneficiaries in the area, attend coordination meetings as required
Assist the Operations Manager and Community Coordinator with prioritizing the work queue, and the scheduling and timelines of work sites
Maintain accurate tracking systems where necessary
Manage logistics of daily transport for volunteers to and from the worksite. This includes coordinating all the local drivers.
Lead teams of staff and volunteers in the field and offer troubleshooting and advice at project sites.
Adhere to an agreed set of safety and quality standards and ensure these standards are maintained, reporting any near misses, injuries and best practices to review with the team.
We understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers, therefore we require all of our on program staff members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated. Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received either a single-shot vaccine or both doses of a two-shot vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since the final dose.
