Construction Managers
Dewberry is currently searching for highly qualified professionals with prior FEMA Public Assistance (PA) experience. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation which includes disclosing personal information such as criminal, credit, residential, employment, social and medical history. Applicants with an active FEMA badge or Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance are encouraged to apply. Selected candidates must be able to commit to a minimum 120-day assignment in remote locations working in excess of 50 hours per week. Additionally, candidates must be disciplined and able to work from home, if required.
Disaster Specialists must be ready to travel to disaster site to support FEMA's response and recovery missions, but also be flexible and disciplined to work remotely from home, if needed. They will assist local government agencies and other Program-eligible entitles in the preparation of grant applications for the restoration of a variety of damaged public infrastructure to include roads, bridges, buildings and utilities. The work includes but is not limited to: site assessments of disaster-damaged infrastructure; documenting damages and developing restoration scopes of work, formulating detailed and accurate cost estimates, and assisting with hazard mitigation planning.
*In accordance with applicable Executive Order 14042 and related requirements, all prospective hires for this position, performing work for the federal government, will be required to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption to this vaccination requirement.
