Position Summary
Fem the Future is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to oversee the organization's projects, programs, and initiatives. The program manager will be crucial in helping the organization achieve its annual goals and ensure the successful implementation and execution of various projects and programs.
The Program Manager will be a key leader, integral in evaluating its programmatic impact and program focus. This position will develop a sustainability strategy to maximize impact to both volunteer members and community partners. The Program Manager will collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure the achievement of program goals and translation to potential grant opportunities; oversee revamping, monitoring, and evaluation of program data; drive programmatic strategy and development; support foundation grant writing and reporting; and collaborate on community engagement and strategic partnership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies, plans, and goals
- Organize and monitor projects
- Develop and control budgets and manage funding channels
- Assess performance and analyze and report on results
- Coordinate activities between projects and ensure program goals are reached
- Advise the Board of Directors on best practices for programming, including attending board meetings if required
- Oversee and manage our program continuum and implement a sustainable community program growth plan that upholds program service quality
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to represent at partner sites and events, schools, community-based organizations, and the business community, assisting in the development of new strategic collaborations that expand or focus our programmatic reach
- Manage the reporting, budgeting, and evaluation for each program and its associated activities, including workshops, programming, and curriculum evaluation
- Maintain standards of excellence for all programs, ensuring high-quality implementation and achievement of goals for participation and desired short-term impact
- Evaluate programming to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and meets the emerging needs
- Work closely with the Board of Directors for communications to push out effective content and highlight our programs externally
- Maintain all community program-related content on various platforms
- Ensure programs operate in compliance with funding sources so that intended results are achieved
- Partner with the Grants Writer to coordinate reporting required for programmatic grants
- Manage relationships with current community partners; support the evaluation of opportunities to expand external partnerships
- Act as a resource for the community program volunteer leaders in reaching established goals and objectives and troubleshooting logistical issues
- Oversee collection and analysis of program evaluation data, including site visit data, participant post-program questionnaires, supervisor evaluations, and other data collection tools
- Work with the Board of Directors to plan the strategy for and management of all aspects of newly created programs
- Passion for Fem the Future's mission and values, with a commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in the music, arts, and technology industries
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4-years of equivalent experience
- Strong management skills with at least 3 years of proven leadership, financial planning, strategy, and performance management
- Experience developing programmatic strategies
- Ability to build relationships with community-based organizations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to collaborate effectively with a wide range of staff, partners, vendors, and volunteer leadership
- Results-driven with the ability to think innovatively and creatively, take the initiative, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written & communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Proficient with PC, MS Office, Outlook, Google Docs
- Ability to comfortably interact with high-profile clients and to use a strong level of discretion/confidentiality
- Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc requests

Salary: $85,000 per year
