Who are we?
Svante is a rapidly growing clean energy technology company making commercial-scale carbon capture and removal a reality and enabling global industries to play offense in the fight against climate change that will accelerate the global transition to a lower-carbon economy. The growing success of our company is owed to our commitment to our people, our emphasis on our values, and our innovative technology. Passion is put into what we do every day.
The Role: Failure Analysis Material Scientist
Who are you?
Be part of a world-class team that wants to tackle one of the most important challenges of our generation; the low cost and high-volume capture of CO2 (gigatons scale). As a Svante employee, you will apply your talents in ways that make a difference in our world by directly contributing to technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Svante has been nominated as one of the best clean-energy technology companies for future investment with a credible solution for capturing point-source CO₂ emissions and accelerating the global transition to a lower-carbon economy.
The Failure Mode Analysis Material Scientist (FMAMS) will be responsible for the correlation between the process performance variation with change in chemical, mechanical and/or physical parameters. He/she will be responsible for gathering already existing data or collecting the data on several in-house analytical equipment’s (TGA, DVS, DMA, DSC, SEM, XRD, FT-IR) or collaborate with external labs or Universities to conduct the necessary data to fully understand the failure mode. He/she will be responsible for creating and executing extensive planning according to the corporate objective of the V.P. R&D.
The FMAMS will collaborate with the active material group, the new sorbent group, the characterization group, the sorbent adsorption bed group (SAB) and the bed manufacturing group. He/she will be responsible for the technical lead and program management related to SAB degradation and failure due to a standard process.
The FMAMS must have a demonstrable record of a high level of expertise in material and mechanical failure mode analysis and effective program management involving a high number of experts. A solid ability to deliver results in a cooperative and team-focused manner using a Lean culture is also of prime importance.
