POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for managing and expanding FSF’s financial, multi-level support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities within Palm Beach County. The ED will be required to meet a minimum revenue goal of $3 million annually with revenue goals increasing each fiscal year. The position will plan and implement FSF’s development and fundraising programs, establish and lead an advisory/fundraising committee of Palm Beach County stakeholders and work collaboratively with the executive leadership team to execute and meet the financial goals of the department and organization.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of 300 donors, including current and prospective donors.
- Successfully identify, cultivate, solicit, engage, and steward mid-level, major, and planned gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Build strategic relationships for Feeding South Florida and develop new strategies to encourage new and increased contributions.
- Schedule and conduct regular donor interactions (correspondence, meetings, visits, etc.) with current and prospective donors.
- Track and update the progress of portfolio management in the database (RE NXT) and the Development Plan (weekly).
- Work in collaboration with Community Engagement and Volunteer Services to steward high-level donors/prospects.
- Work in collaboration with the FSF team to match donors to organizational programming and operational needs/initiatives.
- Participate in the implementation of priorities and goals as established in the Development Plan and Portfolio Management Work Plan.
- Works effectively with the AVP of Philanthropy to meet or exceed the metrics set forth in the Development Plan and Portfolio Management Work Plan.
- Participate in regularly scheduled one-on-one and team meetings to report the progress of the Development Plan and Portfolio Management Plan.
- Represent Feeding South Florida at relevant community meetings and events.
- Engage in organizational initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent fundraising experience required.
- 5-7 years of fundraising experience.
- Successful track record of non-profit fund development and/or for-profit sales and sales management.
- Demonstrated success in relationship building and management.
- Must be organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of fundraising budgets
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Experience tracking and reporting fundraising metrics.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel required).
- Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours of Operation: Although organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., this leadership position may work closer to 50-55 hours per week, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, growing seasons, and disaster response. After-hours business work is required occasionally throughout the year.
- Environment: Environment: This position works in a typical office setting and in the community. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending; listening, talking, and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in inclement weather. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Travel: This position will require significant travel throughout Palm Beach County and neighboring counties when needed. Required use of a personal vehicle, and occasional out-of-town travel for meetings, conferences, or special events.
- OSHA Standards Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.

Salary: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
