The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Asia Pacific is currently seeking a regional EUDR Policy & Chain-of-Custody Manager, FSC Asia-Pacific with 1-year Contract, who brings solid expertise and a passion for sustainability to support FSC’s mission. This role involves helping the market understand FSC’s EUDR solutions, thereby facilitating companies' compliance with the EU Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). Candidates should be based in the APAC regional office in Hong Kong and will chart corresponding initiatives in close communication with relevant sectors across the region.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert for EUDR policy and FSC solutions, ensuring effective application within the region.
Develop and lead the implementation of the EUDR conformity and support strategy for FSC-APAC, fostering key engagements.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to localize and roll out regional EUDR toolkit materials.
Participate in relevant events and activities, conducting capacity-building initiatives such as webinars and training sessions to enhance market uptake of FSC solutions.
Engage with key stakeholders, including Certificate Holders, Certification Bodies, industry associations, and government entities, to improve the implementation of FSC sustainable forestry tools.
Requirements
Working Education and Training:
University degree in international policy, sustainability, and forestry or an equivalent combination of education/vocational training and work experience relevant for the roles and responsibilities of this function.
Continuous professional development in one or more of the following areas: forest certification including Chain-of-Custody, ESG, supply chain management, 3rd party voluntary certification scheme, environmental NGOs.
Working Experience, Style and Skills:
5-8 years of professional experience in supply chain management and market development.
Sound understanding of FSC’s programs, activities, policies, and standards.
Knowledge of the commercial forest product value chain, including market forces; familiarity with tropical wood and natural rubber products is a plus.
Demonstrated awareness of international trade regulations is advantageous.
Track record in certification or business auditing systems is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Service-oriented attitude, with proven ability to plan and organize work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, global team.
Languages & Communications Skills:
Fluency in English and Chinese (spoken and written).
Proficient in standard software packages (MS Office & Adobe) and adaptive to new technological solutions.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with an NGO or non-profit organization.

Ability to represent FSC with exemplary personal and professional authority and conduct.
