EUDR Marketing and Communications Manager, FSC Asia-Pacific

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Asia Pacific is seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to support our mission of promoting sustainability and legality, with targeted efforts to align FSC’s solutions with the European Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). This role prioritizes the development of a user-friendly website to centralize communication materials related to the EUDR, thereby aiding companies in their compliance efforts.

The ideal candidate, reporting to the FSC APAC regional office based in Hong Kong, will work closely with various FSC local offices across the region to streamline and localize marketing materials in different languages, ensuring timely dissemination throughout the region. This position is based in our regional office in Hong Kong.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop EUDR Info Hub: Create a centralized website for FSC APAC that serves as an accessible portal for important information regarding EUDR solutions for APAC markets.
  • Coordinate Marketing Materials: Facilitate the translation and dissemination of marketing materials in multi languages through various multimedia channels. Collaborate with the regional Policy & Chain-of-Custody (CoC) Manager to effectively localize and roll out regional EUDR toolkit materials.
  • Develop FAQs: Create frequently asked questions to support the market in understanding EUDR compliance with APAC-specific focuses.
  • Create dynamic User Guidelines: Develop user guidelines to assist companies in the APAC region in navigating the EUDR compliance journey in their value chains.
  • Facilitate Capacity-Building Initiatives: Provide support in organizing relevant events and activities, including webinars and training sessions in the region, to enhance market uptake of FSC solutions.
  • Assist with Communications Activities: Offer assistance in other FSC communications activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in sustainability or environmental sectors.
  • Familiarity with website development platforms (such as WIX or Drupal), with basic understanding of web content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong design sensitivity and attention to details.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages spoken in the APAC region are advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
