Job Description
The Role:
ActionAid International are looking for a dynamic, engaging, and motivated person to fill the pivotal EU Partnership Manager role in our team in Brussels.
The EU Partnership Manager leads our work to grow and manage institutional income from EU Development Cooperation. The EU Partnership Manager will represent ActionAid in strategic EU spaces, strengthening our positioning and engagement with the EU to increase income and influence for ActionAid programmes. This involves leading a small multi-national team of advisors across various global locations; leading on AA’s EU funding and engagement strategy development and implementation, external representation and relationship management and donor account management including new business development and oversight of the EU grant portfolio; coordination of our EU fundraising approach across the federation, and strengthening people skills in EU fundraising, donor relations and grant management.
Who we're looking for:
You will already have a proven track record of leading on an organisational funding strategy for an institutional donor and be able to demonstrate strong senior-level experience of raising significant funds from the EU. A natural leader and influencer, coach, and mentor, you will be experienced in building the capacity of others when working with institutional donors (both your own team and stakeholders across ActionAid). You will have a demonstrable experience of creating relationships and networks with a donor like EU INTPA. Most importantly, you will be at ease working in a multicultural environment and building relationships of trust with colleagues from different countries and a strong commitment to ActionAid International’s vision, mission, and values. You must be fluent in English and a second language would be an advantage, particularly French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
