About the role

We require an experienced estimator to assist with pricing and compiling bids including peatland & habitat restoration, landscaping and rewilding tenders.

Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you will be a key part of our existing bid team, you will be responsible for further developing our extensive supply chain and for sourcing and pricing sustainable materials and subcontractors. You will also ensure costs are in line with current forecasts, whilst highlighting any potential commercial risks to the business. You will maintain a strong and professional working relationship with customers and helping to build new relationships with potential new clients.

You will also be required to attend site visits and tender meetings when required.

About you

You will have a professional and proactive approach to your work with exceptional organisational skills, and attention to detail is key.

Ideally you will have:

• A relevant qualification in estimating, landscape design, construction management, or a related field.

• Experience pricing a range of contract types including JCT (joint contracts tribunal), NEC (new engineering contract) and / or JCLI (joint council for landscape industries)

• Significant previous experience within the landscaping or environmental sector.

• Microsoft Office skills and experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Job type: Permanent

Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Location: Home based with travel to site and meetings when needed.

A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle would be desirable but not essential.
