ABOUT THE POSITION

Environmental Engineer - Geologist Site Investigation & Remediation | Montpelier, VT | Bedford, NH

VHB is seeking an emerging Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist for our growing Site Investigation & Remediation practice.  At VHB we are passionate about making meaningful contributions to the world through the work that we do. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage effective site investigation and remediation field programs
  • Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing
  • Interpret and communicate investigation findings
  • Leverage technology to support data management and visualization
  • Participate in environmental due diligence activities
  • Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memoranda

Skills and Attributes

  • Work in field and office settings
  • Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients
  • Recognize and manage business risk
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science (with focus on environmental chemistry and/or contaminant transport and fate preferred)
  • 1-3 years of site investigation & remediation consulting experience
  • OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER preferred
