Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's National Site Investigation & Remediation practice has a need for an Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our growing Site Investigation & Remediation practice. The professional will help develop and manage effective site investigation, remediation and due diligence investigative programs. The professional should be comfortable working in the office and field. Response activities may include mentoring junior team members and direct Client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage effective site investigation and remediation field programs
  • Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing
  • Interpret and communicate investigation findings
  • Leverage technology to support data management and visualization
  • Manage and perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memoranda
  • Mentors and may supervise junior team members

  • Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients
  • Recognize and manage business risk
  • Problem solve and work independently

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field of study
  • Master’s Degree preferred (a master’s degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience)
  • 3-5 years of environmental remediation consulting experience required
  • 5-8 years of environmental remediation consulting experience preferred
  • OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required
  • Professional licensure or on track to obtain preferred (PG, PE)
