Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Orlando, FL office is seeking a dynamic and talented Entry Level Software Engineer to join our Transportation Technology team. This position in hybrid and must be able to work in the office three times a week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching data solutions and relationships
  • Assist in developing scripts, applications, embedded software, data analysis tools, and websites in coordination with team members
  • Expand existing software by integrating additional data sources
  • Troubleshoot and perform software maintenance
  • Coordinate with internal team members to integrate software and data environments
  • Coordinate with internal departments and clients and their assigned representatives
  • Support Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) remotely and at clients’ offices during and outside normal business hours to ensure systems are operational 24/7

Skills and Attributes

  • Possess knowledge of software and database design to support new development and/or modify existing software and designs
  • Understands standard software documentation, such as concepts of operation (ConOps), software requirements specification (SRS), software design documentation (SDD), and user manuals
  • Possess excellent communication skills, verbally and through writing, to understand and reiterate in English technical details to technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple task assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years of software engineering experience

Applicants must be legally authorized to work for VHB in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Hiring Salary Range - $65,000- $70,000.  However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
