We are seeking a detail-oriented and hyper organized Enrollment Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with our enrollment processes by accurately entering customer data, calculating kilowatt hour (kWh) usage for subscribers, and screening utility bills for essential account information. Additionally, the Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for verifying accounts to ensure their eligibility for enrollment and collaborating with sales teams to get account issues resolved. This position requires a high level of accuracy, data management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Submit customer accounts to utilities, screen utility bills and extract relevant account information, such as account numbers, addresses, and billing periods
- Accurately enter customer information and electricity usage data into designated system
- Review and verify the eligibility of accounts against established enrollment criteria
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Ensure data integrity and perform quality checks on entered information and documentation to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer accounts and identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Provide timely and professional communication to internal teams, and utilities regarding enrollment-related inquiries and issues
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data at all times
- Meet deadlines and production targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Provide support and assistance to other team members or departments, as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
- Ability to work with various systems (Neighborhood Sun’s proprietary SunEngine platform, Monday.com, HubSpot, Google Suite) and online utility databases
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a customer service, sales, or operations environment
- 1-2 years of experience in a high-pace, outcome based, deadline driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to respond to compounded deadlines in an agile and strategic manner
- Familiarity with utilities, energy markets, or related industries is advantageous
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
This position is seeking only Maryland-based candidates.
This position is a 6 month contract, but with full-time weekly hours (30-40 hours/week) and expectations. The desire is that a high performer will have the opportunity to potentially come onboard in a full time capacity at the end of the contract period.
