The Role:

The Engineering Technician is experienced with industrial chemical or food processes together with building/office and laboratory facilities. As part of the owner’s team they will be responsible for working with both engineering staff, contractors and fabricators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for lab, pilot, and commercial scale design and installation process systems
• Drafting and CAD design for industrial, manufacturing, and utilities projects; in particular for food production processes
• Develop engineering documents working with engineers, designers and other drafters
• Field work including system as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, and construction technical support
• Field support including on-site design, technical support and construction management
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Management of Change (MoC) systems

Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree from an engineering technology curriculum is preferred and or experience equivalent to the degree will also be considered

• 5+ years experience supporting process, mechanical, electrical, structural and/or civil engineering design and operations

• Experience working with engineers, other designers and drafters as part of a design team

• Experience using AutoCAD 2005 or newer

• Experience in a plant engineering support position

• Experience with design and safety of systems, hazardous gasses and high-pressure systems involving hydrogen, other flammable gasses is desirable
