We are looking for an Engine Connectivity Specialist to join our team. As a member of the global Technical Support team, you will be responsible for helping Jenbacher Gas Engines customers manage their asset integrations with our MyPlant Application Performance Monitoring (APM) system. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team where you can have a tremendous impact. The Connectivity team’s objective is to maintain and connect new Jenbacher assets. To accomplish this, we’re seeking creative problem solvers with a passion for the energy industry!
Your responsibilities:
- Remote support for customers/Field Technicians during the asset’s connection process
- Monitor the status of engine connections on the MyPlant APM.
- Drive proactive action in troubleshooting connection bugs/issue (i.e., agents update, win server & firewall configuration, engine offline - not sending data)
- Provide support in Administration of MyPlant (users & assets, and onboarding of new customers/configuration of accounts)
- Organizing the necessary hardware for connection of an asset
- On-site troubleshooting at customer with connection problems (around 20-30 % of the time) to ensure practical experience
Qualifications/Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of networks (i.e., firewalls, communication protocols, routing), and experience with databases
- Strong analytic skills
- MyPlant and related applications knowledge is desired (or similar platforms)
- IT-Knowledge (operating systems, networks, etc.) and MS office knowledge
- Experience on reciprocating engines is desired
- Strong customer focus and interaction skills (external and internal customer)
- Sense of urgency for customer issues
- Ability to establish priorities and to cope with pressure
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve results
- Fluency in English, additional language desirable
- Willingness to travel, around 20-30% International travel for effective execution of projects
