The Near East Foundation (NEF) is offering a volunteering opportunity through its Badaro Office. Volunteers will start on or about September 27, 2022 and run through November 30, 2022. Our volunteering opportunity require a commitment of 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week). Volunteers will be working remotely and from NEF office in Badaro when needed.
For over 100 years, NEF has worked to build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East and Africa through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. NEF’s work is organized around three program areas: Peacebuilding through Economic Cooperation, Inclusive Economic Development, and Climate Resilient Development.

End-line Assessment Volunteers (10 Positions)
NEF is looking for a dynamic, organized, and self-starting End-line Assessment Volunteer during the months of September – November 2022. Working with NEF staff in Beirut and NEF field officers in Halba, Tripoli Beirut Mount Lebanon, Saida and Bekaa, the volunteer will be responsible of conducting the end of year assessments with NEF project beneficiaries remotely via phone. NEF will provide an opportunity for the volunteer to develop their knowledge and skills related to conducting assessments, data collection and monitoring.
The volunteer will work directly with NEF’s Field Officers. S/he will play a key role in: (1) Conducting end of year assessments with project beneficiaries; (2) Collecting and storing data on the designated platforms (KOBO and Excel); (3) Coordinating with NEF Field Officers on the progress.
Candidates should demonstrate:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Social work or psychology background and with language competency in English and Arabic.
