Embedded Software - GET / MET

The desired candidate will provide software development throughout the systems development life cycle while focusing as early as possible on complex features and interfaces. Work closely with other development engineers, product and project managers, and other testing departments to develop software from the commercial specification.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-Year bachelor’s degree / 4 + 2-Year Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology.
• Good knowledge of a lower-level programming language like C and an Object-oriented programming language like C++/JAVA/Python.
• Experience in debugging electronic circuits in college projects or assignments.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Must be a quick learner and can adopt new technologies and processes.

Important Skills:

• Good programming skills with C & C++/JAVA/Python
• Experience in compiling and deploying software modules on Linux or Linux-based sub-systems.
• Ability to read the schematic and debug basic circuit boards.
• Ability to discuss and explain design options.
• Prior knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, I2C & SPI will be a big plus.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• Participate in Software development and testing activities as per assigned tasks and requirements.
• Handle technical benchmarking and software requirement documentation.
• Model, simulate, and analyze the sub-systems to evaluate product and design concepts.
• Follows standard R&D software guidelines for creating code, documenting code, storing code, testing, and implementing the software, in the field when necessary.
• Keep well informed of new features and products/services. Be proactive in understanding product/service roadmaps and the implications of new features with peer engineers or self-training.
