DNV Group Research and Development provides strategic R&D and innovation, with primary focus on new knowledge and technology areas that have a long term impact on our business development. We primarily invest in research and innovation supporting the long term business goals of the current strategy, but also explore emerging opportunities which may become part of future strategy. The activity identifies future technology and risk management trends, builds related new competences and ensures early market positioning and branding of DNV as a recognized technology and risk management leader.
The research activities are coupled with business development initiatives and service piloting. Current research encompasses Maritime, Energy Systems, Digital Assurance, Ocean Space, Healthcare, Food and Energy Transition.
In this role you will be working on the development of sophisticated closed-loop testing and validation methods of power equipment such as solar controllers, smart EV charging algorithms, wind turbine controllers, FACTS devices or protection schemes_._ This also includes its testing, simulation and software model validation.
You will be responsible to further develop our existing and upcoming services in the area of Power Cybernetics as well as for creating new or related services for DNV to position the company for further growth within the power system industry.
We are looking for a Researcher with a strong background in the field of power electronics and control, specifically with its application in power systems.
This position is based in Arnhem, The Netherlands, where we work in a professional digital environment.
We are looking for an experienced Researcher with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (Ph. D. preferred), who preferably has established an international contact network through earlier academic and/or professional engagement. This enables you to help build our international portfolio of industrial and research projects.
