As an Electrical Rail Systems specialist you'll focus on rolling stock, railway systems and/or infrastructure. But we also value flexibility – you'll support electrical engineering projects across our diverse portfolio. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead and manage various projects, applying your technical expertise to ensure the safety of our railway and support research-driven initiatives for manufacturers, owners, and operators.

We're not just about the here and now – we've got big plans too. As part of our succession planning, we want you to play a key role in developing the commercial and technical capabilities of our people as a Team Leader.

We encourage you to apply for this role if you have the following key competencies and experience:

• Sound understanding and practical experience in delivery of railway electrical systems.
• Ability to combine deep engineering knowledge and sound judgement with strong communication skills.
• Adept at preparing high quality written reports, with the capability to present technical concepts and outputs to non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to proposals with novel solutions to technically challenging client needs, drawing upon your formal training and your extensive experience to date.
• Experience of working under the Common Safety Method regulations, or equivalent.

In addition to the core technical role, you will:

• Provide line management of a small group of staff looking out for their well-being and development.
• Undertake business development activities (attend conferences, working groups, trade events) and write proposals, developing strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
