Job Title: Donor Relations Intern
Reports To: Donor Relations Manager
Location: Bentonville, AR
Status: Part-time, Non-exempt [temporary; 24 weeks]
Hours: 10 hours/week [Summer – end of Fall 2025 semester]
Position Summary:
The Donor Relations Intern is responsible for coordinating Donor Relations projects and tasks as assigned, over a 24-week period. The Donor Relations Intern will provide support to the Development Team, while learning valuable skills in donor-facing outreach, communication, non-profit management, and collaborating with a team. This role is ideal for students interested in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications, or philanthropy.
Responsibilities & Duties Overview:
Assist with Water for Good’s stewardship and engagement to donors; make phone calls, send emails, write thank you notes, etc.
Support the Donor Relations team with donor care follow-up, as needed
Engage with the community about Water for Good through event support; help with event logistics, send out invitations, handle RSVP’s, post-event donor follow-ups, etc.
Support mid-level donor pipeline development, helping analyze donor retention trends and engagement effectiveness
Assist with donor research and database management
Assist with special donor relations projects as needed, such as the annual campaign and other mid-level donor initiatives
Other tasks as assigned
Work Experience & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Passion for Water for Good’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, and improved sanitation and hygiene in places that need it most
Currently enrolled in either a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, with a GPA of 3.0 or above
Completed at least 30 hours of college credit
A professional demeanor
Ability to learn new technology tools quickly
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Physical Qualifications:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
