Position Summary
The Development Donor Systems Donor Onboarding Manager manages the onboarding of major gifts and grants, leading coordination of stakeholders across Development and Finance & Accounting to ensure seamless intake of new and existing funding. This includes, but is not limited to, determination and entry of allocations and payments, securing gift and grant agreement documentation in partnership with Donor Relations and fundraisers, reviewing the onboarding process cycle for accuracy and completion, and producing reporting to aid in financial reconciliation. This role also helps with oversight of financial transactions related to special events and other donor initiatives, ensuring they are accurately captured in the database.
In addition, the Donor Onboarding Manager will also assume project management responsibility for ongoing process improvement projects and change management, including documentation, training, and stakeholder communication.
This is a people management role, with a focus on coaching direct reports on their own career development and performance management.

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. For this position, the salary is $80,000 to $90,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
Since March 2020, NRDC’s offices have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You will be associated with one of our offices, but until circumstances allow us to re-open, we will continue to support NRDCers with remote working arrangements.
