We are seeking a Director, Site Reliability Engineering to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.

- Lead a set of Site Reliability Engineering teams that build the infrastructure platform, enabling the rest of the engineering organization to easily deliver world-class services and products for our customers.
- Drive transformational change that yields efficient and effective DevOps best practices across the company.
- Manage department performance and address concerns in a collaborative fashion.
- Grow your team members through appropriate delegation and a thoughtful mentor ratio, senior vs. junior.
- Establish strong relationships with the application and platform engineering teams by providing guidance and expertise for infrastructure usage.
- Guide and assist in the breakdown of complex deliverables for your department.
- Contribute to cloud architecture; design, development, and administration to ensure reliability and ease of use.
- Solve complex problems that require creativity and collaboration to find the right solution for Uplight.
- Manage opportunities to improve automation for the company; scoping and building automation for deployment, management, and visibility of our services
- Drive positive culture change in your department and model the Uplight values

What you will contribute:
- Strong collaboration skills will be required to work closely with other leaders to ensure services/systems are highly stable and performant, meeting the expectations of our Enterprise customers and users
- Passionate about distributed systems and working with highly scalable services in a large multi-cloud environment
- Excited about making better software and continuously improving the development, integration, and deployment processes
- Ability to think critically, listen and be vulnerable
- Collaboration on technical decision making
What you bring to Uplight:
- 6+ years in management positions guiding more than one team
- Experience managing managers and growing a set of next generation leaders
- Working within high growth companies that have a fast pace of change and large amounts of ambiguity
- Proven track record of driving best practices in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Experience with container orchestration tools and practices (Kubernetes, DC/OS, Docker Swarm)
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code best practices (Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
- Properly leveraging and driving value from the remaining infrastructure stack, namely service management, CI/CD pipelines, and an observability platform including APM
Bonus points:
- GCP/AWS Professional certifications (Architect, DevOps, Developer)

Salary Range: $190,000 to $210,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
